Johnny Cake
1 cup yellow corn meal
1 cup flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1 egg
1 cup milk
3 tbl melted butter

Mix ingredients well, pour into well-greased 8x8 pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes. Serve with honey butter.

Honey butter

1 stick butter or margarine (softened)
1/2 cup honey
1/2 tsp vanilla

Beat together until smooth.
